One of the notable offices working at the upazila level is the Upazila Project Implementation Office.After Independence (1773-74)Relief department was running under circle office. Gradually its activities continue to increase. At present   Project Implementation Office in all the Upazilas of Bangladesh.  Also project implementation office in the City Corporation area. Upazila Project Implementation Office is under the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief in the Government of Bangladesh.
 The office is managed by the Department of Disaster Management. Besides, the overall implemented programs are supervised by the Deputy Commissioner,DRRO and the Upazila Nirbahi Officer.
